Saarik Sculpt

My final Organic 3D sculpture project was anything I wanted to be that could showcase the different methods we had learned. I decided to model a DND character of mine, who I had already drawn turnarounds for and had some nice references of.

Final sculpt had about 6mil total points.

Problem: I knew what I wanted, but it was ambitious. I hadn’t sculpted a human in a while, and wanted to make sure it not only looked good so I could possibly print it in the future, but also could be finished within a month.

Solution: In order to ensure I had correct proportions, and something to work off of so I could finish the project in time, I did use the base female model in zBrush created by Tsvetomir Georgiev. From there, I sculpted out the details on the face, muscle tone, and added the clothes. I used the Transform tool to pose the character, and sculpted the rest from primitives! I also hadn’t ever polypainted before, and that’s something I want to work on with my future sculpts.
